Dark Hemlock Bark
Medium Dark
Hemlock Bark is a premium aged and ground
product with a darker color and is more
stable than a fresh bark product. It is
ground to a 1-1/4" minus size. It smells
sweeter than fir bark and does not produce
as many slivers making it more pleasant to
handle.
Medium Dark Hemlock is an all-purpose bark
that can be blended into soils or potting
mixes to add organic matter, or be applied
as a mulch to landscape beds, 2 to 3 inches
deep. When used as a mulch, the dark color
provides a natural look to landscape beds.
When blending into soils, fertilize at rates
recommended for the plant's needs. The size
is coarser than fine dark fir, and is better
for working into clay soils to allow more
air into the denser soils.

Small Nuggets
These mid-range Bark Nuggets are small sized
fir bark chips that have the fines removed
sizes range from 1 inch to 1-1/2 inch. This
material is a very clean and formal look,
giving small shrubs a beautiful backdrop.
Use the small Bark Nuggets as mulch to allow water and air to penetrate deep
into the soil, and significantly reduce any windblown weeds from growing. Put it
down 3 to 4 inches deep over landscape fabric for the perfect weed barrier
system.

Dark Fine Fir

Bark is an aged bark that is screened to a
3/8th inch minus size. It is stable and dark
in color, providing moisture holding
properties and a more neutral pH than Fresh
Fir Bark.
This all-purpose bark can be blended into soils or potting mixes to add organic
matter, or be applied as a mulch to landscape beds, 1 to 2 inches deep. The dark
color provides a natural look to landscape beds. When blending into soils,
fertilize at rates recommended for the plant's needs.
